Membership Rules

(taken from the Constitution)

Article 3:

An active member with voting rights can be any institution, association or organisation, which is composed of or representing the breeders and / or owners and / or jockeys of Arabian Horses and is recognized by The Heritage Arabian Racing Club as proper representative of its country and which have an interest in assisting The Heritage Arabian Racing Club to achieve its aim and is willing to adhere to the rules of the The Heritage Arabian Racing Club.
A passive member without voting rights can be any institution, association, organisation or individual person who doesn’t fulfill the above listed criteria for an active membership and who has an interest in assisting The Heritage Arabian Racing Club to achieve its aim and is willing to adhere to the rules of the The Heritage Arabian Racing Club.
Written admission applications shall be directed to the Secretary of the Management Committee. The Management Committee decides on the admission. Admission can be denied without giving a reason.
The membership ends automatically with
a) Resignation
b) Expulsion
c) Non-payment of the membership fees

Article 4 – Resignation

Any member may resign membership with written notice to the Secretary of the Management Committee with notice period of six (6) months to the end of a month. The full membership fee is due for the business year in which the member resigns.

Article 5 – Suspension and Expulsion

Members can be suspended or expelled by the Management Committee at any time without giving a reason. During the suspension, the member loses all its membership rights. Article 6 – Benefactors
A Benefactor can be any natural or legal person, who supports The Heritage Arabian Horse Club. The Benefactor has no rights and obligations.

Article 7 – Finance

Each member is obligated to pay annual membership fees. Each year the Management Committee decides on the membership fee for active and passive members. The membership fee for active members amounts to maximum […] and the membership fee for passive members amounts to maximum […]. Suspended, expelled and resigned members owe the membership fee until the end of the current business year.
Any money acquired by The Heritage Arabian Racing Club, including membership fees, donations, contributions and bequests, shall be paid into an account operated by the Management Committee in the name of The Heritage Arabian Racing Club.
Any deeds, cheques etc. relating to the The Heritage Arabian Racing Club bank account shall be signed by at least two (2) of the following Management Committee members: Chairman; Vice Chairman; Treasurer; Secretary.
Any income / expenditure shall be the responsibility of the Treasurer who will be accountable to ensure funds are utilised effectively and the Heritage Arabian Racing Club stays with 3/ 7 in budget. Official accounts shall be maintained, and will be examined annually by an independent auditor who is not a member of The Heritage Arabian Racing Club. An annual financial report shall be presented at the annual general meeting.
